Place in back seat of car parked in direct sunlight for the afternoon. They will shrink at least several sizes and form into interesting random shapes. More likely to dry out before shrinking. Mine bent and the corkbed cracked, which I find is quite damaging to a pair of Birkenstocks. Wouldn’t recommend.
